Apurva Dahake, a doctoral student from Prof Hardik J Pandya’s group (https://labs.dese.iisc.ac.in/beeslab/) at the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, Division of EECS, has won the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award 2023 (https://gyti.techpedia.in/). She is one among eleven awardees from the entire country and the only one from IISc.
Her research proposal is on the ‘Development and clinical validation of a multimodal probe for breast cancer margin assessment’.
The Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI TECHPEDIA) Awards recognise and celebrate innovative student projects that address societal challenges through science, technology, and engineering. Organised annually by SRISTI, in collaboration with the Honey Bee Network, Gian, and leading academic institutions, GYTI encourages young innovators to develop solutions in healthcare, agriculture, energy, and the environment.
