The Division has several opportunities for pursuing post-doctoral work in the different departments. These positions are competitive.
IISc has been recognised as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India. As a part of the IoE initiative, IISc has created the Raman Post-Doc Program, a highly selective Post-Doc program with 50 positions. The Institute invites applications for intensely motivated individuals with an established record of high quality research,for the positions of Raman Post-Docs. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are also eligible to apply.

In addition to the C.V. Raman Post-Doc programme, we have the “IoE Post-Doc Programme” (one year, extendible up to two years). Interested candidates are urged to send an email to the faculty member(s) with whom they would like to work, attaching a copy of CV and a well formulated research plan. The emoluments will be on par with the SERB National Post Doctoral Fellowship.
