Interaction with the industry is a key element of the Division’s research and innovation activities. Our initiatives and services include:
The Centre for Continuing Education (http://cce.iisc.ernet.in/) offers a rich variety of short-term as well as semester-long courses on key contemporary subjects.
The faculty members of the Division are actively engaged in collaborative projects with global industry. Recently completed and ongoing projects have been funded by : Google, IBM, Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Intel, AMD, TI, Qualcomm, NetApp, Mozilla, Shakti Foundation, Bosch, Nucleus Software, Volvo, TCS, Wipro, etc. In addition, research gifts have been provided by Google, IBM, Microsoft Research , Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe Labs, Intel, Accenture, NIDIA, HP Labs, National Instruments, Qualcomm, etc. Based on the nature of these engagements, the projects are handled through the Society for Innovation and Development (http://sid.iisc.ac.in/) or through the Centre for Scientific and industrial Consulting (http://www.csic.iisc.ac.in/).
