Ten MTech programmes are offered by the Division of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Sciences (EECS), which comprises the Departments of Computer Science and Automation (CSA), Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE). Two programmes are offered by the Department of Computational and Data Sciences (CDS) and the Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).
MTech (Artificial Intelligence) is a flagship graduate programme offered by the Division of EECS, CDS, and CPS through the joint efforts of the Departments of CSA, CDS, CPS, ECE, EE, and ESE. This has two parts: (a) training in foundations and tools, algorithms and techniques, computational platforms, and transformative applications, and (b) one-year project to make students the creators of futuristic applications of AI.

The curriculum is crafted to provide a solid understanding of computational principles and data science methodologies. MTech (Computer Science and Engineering), offered by CSA, is a challenging programme with courses that have high standards, interesting and stimulating content. It consists of two parts: (a) course work based on core courses from three different pools, and (b) one-year research-oriented project, enabling students to publish papers in international conferences and journals from the dissertation work.

MTech (Electronic Product Design) is being offered by ESE from August 2021. The programme caters to a very important need in electronic product design and is supported generously by the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India. It is a blend of deep academic content and practical knowledge enabling highly creative, entrepreneurial graduates.

MTech (Electronic Systems Engineering) programme is a two-year degree programme offered by the DESE department in the EECS department. The programme consist of coursework and dissertation project with 18-credits of core courses, 21-credits of elective courses and 25 credits of research project. The core courses cover topics in semiconductor devices, circuits, systems and packaging. The electives cover a wide range of topics ranging from embedded systems, signal processing, networks, neural networks etc.

MTech (Microelectronics and VLSI) is a two-year degree programme jointly offered by ECE and ESE. The programme consists of coursework and a year-long research project, with the coursework offering a comprehensive exposure to electronic devices and VLSI/circuits areas.

MTech (Robotics and Autonomous Systems) is a two-year programme offered by CPS. It consists of interdisciplinary courses on robotics, perception, control, machine learning, and design of societal cyber-physical systems. This is followed by a one-year project in these areas. The programme also offers three minors – control systems, robotic and embedded systems, mobility and urban intelligence.

MTech (Online, Artificial Intelligence) is the online version of the flagship graduate MTech (Artificial Intelligence) programme, offered by the Division of EECS, CDS, and CPS through the joint efforts of the Departments of CSA, CDS, CPS, ECE, EE, and ESE. The aim of the online programme is to equip industry professionals with mathematical and computational skills to develop futuristic AI technologies. The programme offers a rigorous introduction to both the theory and practice of AI through a wide variety of coursework ranging from mathematical foundations to applications of AI. Apart from coursework, the programme requires each student to complete a research dissertation on a topical theme of AI.
