Abstract
Current generation of AI architectures are centralized in nature where both model training and model inferencing takes place in a central location. However, we are now entering the era of distributed AI. In this talk we will discuss both how and why AI architectures are becoming distributed. We will specifically cover the following three distributed AI trends: 1) How AI is moving to the Edge with respect to federated AI model building 2) how enterprises are engaging in data and algorithm marketplaces to purchase external data sources to build their AI models and 3) how enterprises are building hybrid AI architectures where they are leveraging AI innovation in the public clouds but are keeping their data in their private clouds. We will give concrete real-life use cases to explain these distributed AI trends.
