Bio
Sandeep received the M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree (cum laude) from TU Delft, in July 2011 and January 2016, respectively. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Electrical Communication Engineering department at IISc. Also, he is an Associate Editor of the EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, and a member of the EURASIP Signal Processing for Multisensor Systems’ Special Area Team.
Before joining as Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, in dec 2018, Sandeep worked as 9/2015–12/2018 as Postdoctoral researcher, Circuits and Systems group, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, 9/2011–9/2015 as Researcher (Ph.D. candidate) Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, 7/2010–7/2011 as Research Intern, Holst center/IMEC-NL Eindhoven, The Netherlands, 7/2007–8/2009 as Engineer, Robert Bosch Limited, Bangalore, India
Expertise
Sandeep’s research interests include mathematical signal processing, statistical inference and learning, applied to communication systems, network sciences, and computational imaging. The main themes of his research are computational sensing, sparse sampling, machine learning for communications, graph signal processing, and machine learning over graphs and irregular domains.
