The Division of EECS (Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Sciences) at India’s top-ranked university, Indian Institute of Science, at Bangalore, is looking for exceptionally bright and motivated faculty candidates, with an established record of high quality research and a strong commitment to teaching, at the assistant professor and associate professor levels.
The EECS Division comprises four departments: CSA (Computer Science and Automation), ECE (Electrical Communication Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), and ESE (Electronic Systems Engineering). At the EECS Division, we seek fundamental advances in core areas such as:
Theoretical Computer Science, Programming Languages and Software Engineering, Computer Systems and Architecture, Machine Learning, Control and Optimization, Signal Processing, 5G+ and Next-Generation Communications and Networking, Mm-Wave and THz RF Systems, Photonics and Quantum Technologies, Cyber-Physical Systems, Security, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Power Systems, High Voltage Engineering, Power Electronics, Electromagnetics, Devices and Microelectronics.
We are actively pursuing fundamental research-driven innovation that is organized along thematic clusters that include Artificial Intelligence, Brain and Computation, Autonomous Systems, Quantum Technologies, Cyber Security, Smart Energy Systems, Speech and Language Processing, Storage Systems, Visual Analytics, and 5G Systems (see the EECS website for more details).
