Bio
Utpal Mukherji received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in 1980, and the S.M., E.E., and Sc.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1982, 1984, and 1986 respectively. He was a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, from 1986 to 1989, In 1989, he joined the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where he is currently Professor. His research interests are in communication networks and systems.
